WARZONE… The free game that needs a £1000 PC ?

The bloodbath that is Warzone is hugely popular and free to play on PC but what do you need to play it?

Ive done five PCs in the last few weeks, all built to play WARZONE, so I thought I would share some tips and do a bit of a guide.

The PC’s are detailed below, They are 90% new builds (apart from the older i5 4590)and all were set up to play at 1080p with medium to high settings on high refresh rate monitors ( the i5 4590 was at low to medium)

What we found out is that WARZONE needs some serious hardware to play above 60FPS ! The results below were on BR SOLOs and approx. average FPS taken from in game display . The older i5 4590 was at low to medium settings but still looked good and very playable.

60 FPS – i5 4590 at stock speeds, 16 GB DDR3 and GTX 970 £ 470
85 FPS – i5 8400 at stock speeds , 16 Gb DDR4 2400 and RTX 2060 £ 722
115 FPS – Ryzen 5 3500X @ 4.1Ghz all core, 16 Gb DDR4 3600 and RTX 2060 £ 870
135 FPS – i5 9600K @ 4.8 Ghz all core , 16 GB DDR4 3600 and RTX 3070 £1190
165+ FPS – i9 9900k @ 5Ghz all core, 16 GB DDR4 3600 and RTX 3070 £1500

The settings used for these are as below
